 Our week off, except for our Presidency meeting on Wednesday this week due to the 4th of July and the temple being closed that day.  We had our meeting, went to visit with Mom, ate at Norm's Cafe (not going here again, very dirty), then enjoyed the Spanish evening at the temple with sealings and a session.  Great way to begin a new month.  

We spent the week fishing, golfing, baking cookies, attending the temple to do work for our ancestors, and resting up for our early morning week to come.

On Monday the 10th, I met Mom at the dentist office here in Jerome.  She comes here because this dentist has a lift, so Mom doesn't have to get in and out of her wheelchair.

I guess the only drawback is that it doesn't raise up, so the dentist has to bend over the whole time.

She got a good cleaning and everything was fine with her teeth.  She was exhausted afterward and slept away the rest of her birthday, 91 years old today.

Morning shift again this week.  We try not to schedule anything these weeks, but Lon does go golfing most afternoons so he can stay up and get to bed early.  I'm usually too tired to try it.

On Sunday the 16th, we attended the Murtaugh Spanish Branch.  We have to teach a Sunday School lesson here on the 30th so we went to meet and get to know the people a little so we could decide how best to teach the lesson.  Nancy was asked to give the closing prayer, in Spanish.  It was a nice day.

Monday morning Lon and LaRon again went fishing.  They didn't catch anything big enough to keep this time but enjoyed being on the water for a good boat ride.

We are on the afternoons this week.  Gene Van Wagoner came in on Wednesday to golf and attend a class reunion.  Lon and Gene golfed Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings before we had to go to the temple at 1:00.  We had a good visit, but we are tired.  Gene left Saturday evening after his reunion and we slept in on Sunday morning.  The temple has been slower as people are enjoying their summer trips.  We have had a lot of people come from out of town so that has been fun to meet new people.

Week off and Farrell and AnnaVee came to town on Thursday the 27th.  Lon and Farrell golfed 18 holes that afternoon.  On Friday, the men again golfed.  I made some salad's and we went to Kurt and Linda's house for dinner about 5.

AnnaVee is doing so much better.  She is finally starting to heal and can walk and get around, usually without the walker.  It was so fun to be together.

Farrell and AnnaVee left on Saturday morning after breakfast.  We went to the temple and enjoyed doing an endowment, some initiatory, and a sealing session.  It was a good week off.

Sunday morning, we headed to the Murtaugh Spanish Ward.  We taught the Sunday School lesson all about temples.  We used a lot of pictures to explain what a temple is and what happens in them.  I think it went ok; it will be better the next time we do it.  This branch is full of single men who are here working while their families are still in Mexico.  We hope to see many of them in the baptistry at the temple in the near future.  After we got home, we spent most of the afternoon on the phone as Chandler called, then Farrell and then Ginger.  Jaikka is in Italy on a studies abroad program for two months.  She seems to be having a great time.

We have Jaikka in Italy, Gideon in Japan, Isaac in Japan, and Ashton in Korea.  One from each family overseas.  

We spent Monday the 31st getting ready for our week in the temple with a new schedule.  Summer is going by really fast!
