Our Sunday was full. We started out at the Chiloe Ward in Cordillera. It takes us about an hour to get there. We presented the power point for their Capilla Abierta on Sunday the 24th. They filled out 35 referral cards for the missionaries. The missionaries were so thrilled. Hopefully the ward will be able to get a bunch of them to attend the Capilla Abierta.
This was a three section church. The middle section was built first then as the attendance grew one more was built and then the last one. We have 4 young Elders assigned to this ward. These 4 Elders live in a 2 bedroom/1bathroom house. We are trying to find them another house in their ward so that we can split them up and have each companionship in their own home.
Sunday evening we drove out to Puente Alto to attend a Charla Fogonera (fireside) put on by the young missionaries. It was fantastic! These young people are so talented. They had a choir made up of 2 zones sing. We had so much fun watching the young Elder that was leading them. He was so full of enthusiasm! Recent converts to the church bore their testimonies and after each one we had another musical number. Elder Neves from Brazil sang a song and accompanied himself on the piano. He is very talented. He also played for the choir to sing "As Sisters in Zion/Army of Helaman". The spirit was so strong. These young missionaries have such strong testimonies of their Savior Jesus Christ. We had quartets and sixtets singing, some accompanied by a ukulele. President and Hermana Brotherson each spoke. It was a great way to begin our week.
Monday we presented our cleaning power point and our Capilla Abierta power point to the Javiera Carrera Zone. They have a Capilla Abierta in April.
We finished putting in all of the ojo majicos. We have spent most of the week in the office trying to help Hermana Hughes get the booklets done for the 19 new missionaries that are coming and the booklets done for the 7 missionaries who are going home. We have 14 new hermana's coming! That will mean that all but 3 of our existing hermana's will be trainers for the new missionaries. A few of the hermana's have only been here for 6 weeks and they will be training new missionaries!
Saturday evening we drove to the Grecia ward building to set up for their Capilla Abierta. This building has the chapel upstairs and it only has one door to enter into the chapel and the cultural hall. With the ward members upstairs with the refreshments and their displays about each of the organizations, it was better to begin the tour and have all of the rooms downstairs where it would be quieter. We used our new banner for the first time.
Hermana Gillion y Hermana Urbina

a fuzzy foto but Elders Beazel y Almeida with the bishop
Obispo Diaz, He is only 24. What a huge responsibility for someone so young. He did an amazing job getting his ward to support this event.
They were at the front door to great people and get their names
Our new kit has a new foto of Jesus Christ
Hermana's Moreira y Harmon
They share their testimonies of Jesus Christ and what He has done for us
Hermana's Kloster y Montana explain about our Heavenly Fathers plan for our happiness, the mission of Jesus Christ and the grand apostacy
Elders Leandro y Corbishley teach about Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon and the importance of living prophets today
Elders Lucena y Acosta explain baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. We had about 50 people attend, with 9 investigators. One young man came in off the street with the missionaries to see what was going on. He took our tour and called his father to come and see also. He said he would be to church on Sunday. We will have to call the missionaries to see if he came or not. He seemed to soak up everything. We had a wonderful evening serving with these young missionaries and the members of this ward.
Elder Thompson made banana bread and called the Hermanas who live in our building to come and get some. They were thrilled. Hermana Hale and Hermana Olave. They train all of the hermanas in our mission so they are on the road a lot visiting each of the companionships.
It has been a wonderful, busy week. We send our love to all. Hope you had a wonderful week as well. Serving others sure makes the time go by fast. One day it is Monday and suddenly it is Saturday again. You are in our thoughts and prayers always. Have a great week.
