A busy week with an adventure planned for Saturday

Sunday morning began very early.  We had to be at the El Valle Branch in La Reina Stake by 8:00 for the Bishop's Council to present the information for the Capilla Abierta that they are having on the 31st.  Then we had an hour wait for their Sacrament Meeting to start.  We have rethinked our calling with the Capilla Abierta's and have decided that we need to teach the young missionaries how to do everything so that when we are released and if no one comes down to replace us, the Capilla Abierta's can continue without any problems.  These young missionaries are so capable.
     We had the Hermana's from the Alicahue Stake present the power point to their zone to practice and they will present it to their ward this Sunday.  We will be out in Cordillera to present it to that ward at the same time.  We think that the young missionaries will do a great job and they seem very excited to take over.  We will be with them whenever possible but we will let them do the teaching.  We think that this will get them more pro-active in convincing their bishops that their ward needs to have one.
     So Monday we went to the Alicahue Zone meeting and trained them on the Cleaning power point and the Capilla Abierta's.  Then we took 3 missionaries with us to look over their area as we are trying to find them a new pension.  These are the missionaries that were robbed and threatened so we had to move them.  Right now they live in the La Florida zone and have to travel to get to their area.  We have sent emails out to the 6 realters that we have cards for and are praying that we will be able to come up with something that will work for them.  We got home about 7pm.
     Tuesday morning we left the house at 8am and got home at 8:30pm. Definitely a long day.  We had an interview with the President then headed out to San Jose de Maipo.  The owner of the new apartment for the Elders was to put in kitchen cupboards.  Well, they arrived in boxes!  The Elders got part of the new cupboard together then called for help.  We definitely were not expecting something this big.  There was literally no instructions with it, we felt like we were putting a jigsaw puzzle together.  The Elders were gone all morning, got back just in time to lift the top section onto the bottom section.  Then they had to leave again so we got it finished.

  No matter when we go by here, it is always decorated up.  There are even flower venders always in front of the cemetery.

     Call from a realter with an apartment to see!  On our way home from San Jose de Maipo we stopped to meet the realter.  The apartment is perfect - for two elders who are living just up the block with 2 other elders in an apartment with 2 bedrooms and only 1 bath.  It will be great to split these four up but this doesn't help our elders in Alicahue.
     Wednesday morning we didn't leave until 8:30am and had 5 service calls to make.  Our GPS only got us lost twice but we were only a block or two away from our pensions.  We accomplished our service calls and got back to the office by 4 and left again at 6 to meet another realter with another apartment to see.  It ended up not in an area that we needed so it was a late nite for nothing.  We didn't get back until 9pm.
     Time to rejuvenate!  We went to the temple Thursday morning.  We did the 10:00 session then baptisms.  I had 6 females to be baptized for so Elder Thompson baptized me, then he baptized another lady that had 2 people that needed baptized.  It was a wonderful morning and we are ready for the rest of the week!  We just have to have our temple fix!  Boy, how we miss being in the temple at least 2 days a week.
     We spent Friday in the office setting up appointments for next week and documenting the things that were done this week.  We went to dinner with the Hughes, our usual Friday night date.  We tried out another Chinese Restaurant and it was great.  It has been a busy week with long hours.  These Friday night dinners really help us unwind.
     Saturday we are headed out on an adventure with the Hughes and the Lawson's.- - - - -  We didn't get home til 8:30 and have an early morning Sunday so the details of this adventure will have to wait.  It will take me a couple of days to sort fotos and get the trip blogged.  So for now, we will tell you that we love you.  We are busy and protected!  Hope you have a wonderful Sabbath Day.  We are on our way to Cordillera, an hour drive, for church.  The blog about our trip to Portillo Ski Resort will come in a couple of days.  You are in our prayers.
