Our month started out normal: Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons visiting Mom at Serenity, Tuesday mornings serving on our shift in the Twin Falls Temple, Tuesday evenings teaching our English Connect classes, Wednesday evenings in the temple attending the Spanish Session and Thursday afternoons attending the temple with the Zysett's and occasionally Sister Petersen. That is our norm and then we add a few other things in between .
On the 9th, George and Kim picked us up and we headed to Shelly to visit Leon and Jane Leavitt.

We were fed a great meal and had a wonderful visit before heading over to Frank Price's place for more visiting. Paulene was at work but we visited with Frank and Paulene's mother who now lives with them. Frank is still not feeling great, but he keeps going. Then we headed for home.
Friday morning was only 14 degrees with wind. Burrrr! Winter is coming for sure. We have snow.
We went to dinner with George and Kim at Idaho Joe's then to the Twin Falls West Stake Christmas Choir program. Carson Wong was the conductor again this year. It was so good. We really enjoy attending this program each Christmas.
I finally gave away my 7 1/2 foot Christmas tree and bought a small one. We have had the tall tree for years and the branches were so smushed and it was hard to decorate, getting old.
I put all of my nativities around and under the tree.
Lon laughed at me cause he thinks that I have too many decorations for the little tree, but I only put on the ones that had sentimental value!
On December the 14th, we had a great English Connect. Abram returned after being gone for 2 months, so great to have him return. Transfer time for our Elders so we got a foto.

The 17th was our ward Christmas party. I couldn't believe the menu; funeral potatoes, salad, rolls and bbq chicken with cookies and brownies for dessert. I felt like I was at a funeral dinner😂. Becauase of covid and snowy roads the turn out was very small. We took the Zysett's with us.
We had our English Connect Christmas party on the 21st. I taught the class how to sing a couple of Christmas songs and we learned a few names of Christmas items.

We started with just Abram, Erendida and Imelda with 2 Elders and 2 Sisters. About a half hour later Edwardo and Lucero came.

Lon is finally tired of shoveling snow and he got the snow blower out.
Our most important possession for the next month and a half.
We spent the week before Christmas visiting and delivering gifts to friends and family.
Tracy and his family came over for dinner on the 24th. We enjoyed good food, good company, and fun games on this Christmas Eve.
Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to Lon, 72 years young. We woke up to snow again. We headed to Tracy's to open presents and have breakfast.

Sarah made a delicious breakfast casserole. We had a beautiful morning and then headed to visit with Mom and help her open her presents. We came home and enjoyed visiting with each of the other kids and grandkids.
Sunday morning we headed to pick up the Zysett's for church. We goofed and took the car. It got stuck in their driveway. We got the Zysett's back into their house and Lon walked home to get the truck. We made it to church but didn't think that we could get the Zysett's into the truck so they had to stay home. Shayla and Justin and family came about 12:30 for dinner.
We had 15 in the house for a ham dinner with funeral potatoes and fancy mac and cheese and all the side dishes and pie.

Lon and Justin went to the Zysett's and got the car pulled out of the snow and got it home.
We had a wonderful visit with Shayla's family. So thankful that they were all able to come.

The temperatures have not been above 20 for weeks
The snow is beautiful but the roads are slick and it's cold!
Lon and George tried to get into Magic to fish but the snow and blow has closed the roads. They will not get in for a few months now. They are fishing on the Snake River now.
We drove the truck for the rest of the year as the car is just not good on the slick roads.
2021 has come to an end. Our prayer is that this pandemic will finally come to an end in 2022. We are thankful that our chapels and temples are open, although not completely, and pray that soon we can quit using the masks. We are thankful for our family. They are so loving and kind to us and each other. That a blessing! Life is good. We are looking forward to 2022 and the new adventures that it will bring.
