June

The first week of June has come and gone with temperatures clear up into the 90's and then dropping the next day into the 50's.  We've had the air conditioning on one day and then the heat back on the next.  We have had 3 grandchildren get their tonsils and adenoids out, Jaikka, Hannah, and Chandler.  We are so thankful for the blessings that each have received and are each recovering without complications.  Now they should be healthier and enjoy life without bouts of tonsilites.
  Connie and Dennis listed their home for sale on June 1st and sold it on June the 3rd!  They were even offered more than they were asking.  They were thrilled to find the perfect home to buy on the 5th!  Their new home in located in Kimberly, Idaho.  They are to close on both homes on the 30th of the month, depending on inspections.  Connie and I were able to spend Saturday the 6th together and we visited Mom and told her about the sale and purchase.  The Estate Sale was on the 4, 5, and 6th of the month.  We are so thankful that all of Mom's "stuff" is sold and most of Connie and Dennis's.  It will make moving so much easier.  We made $1211.00 for Mom.

     Lon and George went fishing a couple of times this week so we now have fish in the freezer.
 Our weather has been very unpredictable all month, up to the 90's one week then down to the 50's the next.

June 15th, Lon, George and Chandler went fishing.  They are fishing at Magic right now cause the "catching" has been very good.  

Chan is still recovering from his tonsillectomy

so he was totally exhausted by the time they headed for home

We went to dinner with George and Kim on the 19th and then took a drive.  We went to Kimberly to see Connie's new house then out to the Stricker Ranch site.  

We would love to come here when it is open to go through the tour but it is only open on Sundays for tours.

     It was built in 1865 and is part of the Oregon Trail route.  Many believe that those who died here still linger on!  It is the site of many Halloween excursions of ghost seeking clubs.  I really enjoy history so going through the interpretive center would be great for me.

Tracy had to tear up this part of his patio because of plumbing problems.  Lon and the boys were able to work together to get it all framed in again.

Lon forgot to take fotos of the boys as they were working.  He really enjoyed spending time with these two grandkids, Chan and Ashton.  Tracy is in the process of installing the final planks to the framing.  It will be completed and ready for our family reunion in July.

The month was pretty much filled with golfing: at least 5 days a week, a great way to get in our walk.  Of course I get in 5 times more upper body work than Lon cause I have to swing so many more times than he does!  And fishing: at least 3 days a week!

On the 24th, Frank Price and Newell Bingham came from Shelly to fish at Magic with Lon and George.

They caught 24 trout, 6 perch and 3 bass 

What a small world, when Frank said that he was bringing his fishing buddy, none of knew that it was George's cousin and a Jerome native.  He is Hal and Twila Bingham's son and also related to Lon through his Aunt and Uncle Bill and Cloe Bingham.  They had a ball and hope to do it again soon.

Gene and Norma Van Wagoner came to town in the 28th for a golfing marathon.   We really enjoy having these two visit.  

    The corona virus continues to make life difficult.  Our temples are only open for people who are already endowed to be sealed to each other.  Oh, how we miss attending the temple!  We continue to have our personal sacrament meeting each Sunday.  We are so blessed to have the priesthood in our home so we can partake of the Sacrament each Sunday as well.  

And June has come and gone.
