We spent the 4th of July with Kim and George. We went to the Farmer's Market in Jerome and then the one in Twin Falls. We found some radishes but it is too early for most produce yet. We drove down to Centennial Park to check it out for our reunion. We enjoyed a BBQ to the Orr's home with Dirk and Becky Clarkson. The neighbors across the street provided a fireworks display for us early in the evening as they had a little one who would be in bed when it actually got dark. It felt good to sit and visit with friends. Mark and Mattie came by later so we got to visit with them also.
On Thursday the 9th we took another road trip with the Orr's. They had to deliver the pork that Grant had bought from Scarrows so we went with them to Pocatello.
We drove past the Pocatello Idaho temple that is under construction. Grant has a great view of this from his home. It should be done in 2021. Hopefully all temples will be opened by then?
We headed to Logan, Utah next. We took a road we have never before been on so it was an adventure for us. Kim's Mom lived in Lewiston, Utah so this was familiar territory for them. We drove through Arimo, Virginia, Downey, Swanlake, Preston, Franklin, Lewiston, Smithfield and finally reached Logan. We stopped at the Red Rock Pass to learn a little about the history of this area.

Kim and George like to stop at 4 different shops when they take this trip. The first was a meat packing plant to look for deals on lunch meats, no bargains today. We didn't go to the ice cream factory, that is a winter stop so nothing melts before they get home. Petridge Farms wasn't open, all sorts of foods. We stopped for lunch at the A&W then on to our last stop, Gossner's Cheese. We found some squeeky cheese and banana flavored milk that just had to come home with us!
We had a great day seeing new country and spending time with dear friends. We got home about 8:30.
On July 17th Hannah and her friend Jacob came to visit. They wanted to get away and do some fishing.
We drove to Magic Reservoir. It was very hot so we only stayed about 2 hours.

We then drove to Twin Falls where the three of them walked across the bridge.

Then we drove to Tracy's neighborhood where we were able to walk to Shoshone Falls

These two left right after breakfast on Sunday. So fun to have them here. Jacob is supposed to be leaving to finish his mission next month. He had to come home from New Zealand early because of the Coronavirus and is to go to Denver to finish up the last year.
We decided that it was time to invest in a reliable car.
With just under 300,000 miles on the Ford Explorer we sold it to our neighbor, Adrian. He drives it to work and back and is very happy with it. We bought a 2014 Ford Escape
FAMILY REUNION 24, 25, AND 26TH
Since we came home early from our mission and the coronavirus has had everything shut down and we have not had a reliable car we have not seen 75% of our children and grandchildren. We were so excited to have 24 out of 26 of our posterity in attendance.
We are missing Debbie, Mason and Tyler who were at work and couldn't come. Tyler came by on Sunday so we got to meet him. He is Hendrix's father (they are planning a wedding next July)
Our reunion started on Friday with Tracy, Lon, Ginger and Shayla hitting the golf range at 93Golf.
They teed off at noon. 10 more of us met at Grandma Reid's window to say hello to her at Serenity Care Center. It was in the 90's but that didn't detour us from hitting the Mini Golf course after.

We had our camper and George Orr's camper set up with beds and water/sewer so that kids could sleep there. The first night we had 7 extras at our house.
Saturday morning Tracy took Ginger, Jaikka, Gideon, Grandpa, and Ashton, 
They had plenty of guns to shoot!

They weren't too impressed with the only courts left in town. The same courts that they played on as teenagers. The new courts at the high school are now a parking lot😢
Ryanne and Hannah stayed back at the house helping me get the hamburger patties made for our BBQ later that evening. We headed to the Centenial Park and met up with the rest of our family for a few hours of water fun.

We had our un-birthday birthday party and ice cream cake for dessert.
The evening was finished with the gun cleaning party. Nathan and Isaac were not here in time to shoot but they loved helping Uncle Tracy clean all the guns.

Sunday morning and the hikers took off for a hike around Dierkes Lake and ending up at the Shoshone Falls.

That left Ginger, Jaikka, Shayla and Mindi to spend Sunday night with us. 
The girls went golfing with their Dad.
The three girls plus Jaikka and I met Aunt Judy for lunch and then Shayla had to head for home.
Monday evening we took a ride out to the farm and showed the girls how things have changed in Jerome. Tuesday morning Mindi headed to Utah and Ginger and Jaikka headed back to Boise and flew home on Wednesday.
And Grandpa and Grandma are home alone.
We enjoyed being with our family so much. Our grandkids have grown up so much in the 20 months since we have seen them in person. Talking on Skype is wonderful but you don't see just how much they have grown physically and mentally unless you can be face to face. They are all loving and respectful and just plain fun to be around. We are so blessed to have such an amazing posterity.
Thank you all for making the effort to attend. We missed Debbie and Mason and hope to get to see them in the near future. We love our family.
