Benjamin took the fotos for us.
We had a nice lunch of chicken noodle soup and empanadas. Victor had lots of questions about the gospel and we were able to share our testimonies with him. We are so excited that this couple can move forward, learning together about the love their Heavenly Father has for them. We got home about 4 and talked with Ginger and Tracy. It is always so wonderful to be able to visit with our children and grandchildren. We miss them so.
We have spent the week getting the Zone Leaders pensiones inspected. The first week after transfers we try to get our 11 inspections done to set the example and motivate the Zone Leaders to get their zone inspections completed in a timely manner. Last transfer we had 2 Zones complete their inspections. The others only missed 1 or 2. Hopefully this transfer we can get them all inspected. As we do service work, we are thrilled by the difference we are seeing in the houses. We used to be surprised when we found a clean one, now we are surprised when we walk into a dirty one. We are so thrilled by the effort these young missionaries are making to live in a clean and orderly home. Of course we do have a few that struggle and as long as they have a companion who likes a clean house it works, but if two of these get together, things are not too good. But we just keep trying to teach and motivate.
We are trying to get things in place so that the inspections will continue to be successful after we leave. As for now, we have no replacement coming.
It is always an experience traveling around our mission. You just never know what you will see next. Today it was the horse and wagon on a very busy round-about. He was going so fast that we couldn't get in front to get a better foto.
The horse was not nervous with the traffic. He must do this often.
We really didn't do anything out of the ordinary this week. We tried to get 4- 6 inspections and service calls done each day. It is summer break here so the traffic has been lighter due to vacations. We had a wonderful day in the temple on Tuesday. I had 30 of our young missionaries in the 9:00 session with me. What a treat to not only be able to serve them in their homes but to serve them in the temple also.
We pray that you have had a wonderful week as well. You are in our thoughts and prayers always. We send our love. Chao!
