As you can see, February didn't start out any different than January.
Lon is so thankful to have the snow blower back. He uses it almost daily as the snows just keep coming!
Connie's car is still buried.
We did get the Christmas decorations put into the shed finally though.
The weatherman is giving a day to day count down till spring!
It warmed up into the low 40's and started to rain. It is good to see the snow start to melt but now we have a worry about flooding all over Magic Valley.
We have been attending all of Chandler's basketball games. He plays on Saturday mornings.
This is Chandler with Tucker, his best friend and teammate.
Chandler literally has some growing pains going on. Sometimes his knees ache so bad that he can hardly walk. The doctor thinks he is going to shoot up a foot in the very near future.
Chan's team is undefeated at this point. They will end up loosing a game on the 25th.
On Monday the 6th we went to Twin and visited with Larry and Blanca. We saw rock chucks out everywhere. In Southern Idaho that always means that it is spring time! This year I think that it only meant that the rock chucks were flooded out of their homes because we got another 4 inches of snow on the 7th.
Everything was frosted over this morning. It really is beautiful but we now have cold weather again.
Thank goodness the temple is open. It is the only thing that is keeping us sane! Lon is watching a lot of college basketball and I am putting jigsaw puzzles together. Oh how we want to take a walk!! The sidewalks are snow and ice covered once again.
On the 13th, I took Mom to Twin to see Dr. Allen, her eye doctor and met up with Judy and Debbie. We had a great visit and Mom really enjoyed getting out of the house finally. Judy brought us all some of her famous sugar cookies for Valentine's Day. Debbie and Mom came back to our house to wait for Connie to come home from work. Her drive way at the farm is real muddy and they are trying to keep a lot of traffic out of the yard. The sun is shining during the day and the temps are in the low 40's again so that last snow is starting to melt. With only 35 more days till spring, there is hope in the air!!
On Wednesday afternoon, the 15th, Deb and Doug and Lon and I went to the Twin Falls Temple and participated in a Sealing Session. We went to eat at McCallister's and then Lon and I went to serve on our Wednesday PM Shift. On Thursday morning we all went back to the Temple and did the 11:00 session.
So fun to have these two living close enough to spend time with them. As you can see in the photo, the snow is gone again and we are expecting to be able to get outside soon. Lon has put the golf clubs back in the car in anticipation of more nice weather and the end of the snow.
We headed to Boise about 3 to meet up with Shayla and attend a concert for Gideon. We first had supper with them at Chicago Connection and then to Boise High for the Pop's Concert.

It was a great concert and we drove back home that same evening.
The weather continues to be good and the snow is melting off of the sidewalks. On Monday the 20th we actually took a walk to Village West and then to George Orr's. It felt so wonderful to be able to walk again. Kim Orr just had surgery to replace her knee so we stopped to see her and Jackie Kimball is moving to Utah so we went to check on her preparations in Village West.
Several of the golf courses have announced that they are open and we are getting excited and planning a day when the weather again reminds us that it is still winter and we just have to be patient for spring to arrive.
It started snowing and blowing on Wednesday night and continues all day on Thursday
You can see how deep it is getting with Lon's footprints as he heads to the shed for the snow blower.
Lon is again cleaning the sidewalks. We ended up with about 4-6 more inches. Judy got 11 inches south of Twin Falls. Magic Mountain got 46 inches of new snow. It was really a big storm. So, February started out with snow everywhere and it ended just the same way. Only 20 more days till spring now and it will take all of that time to get rid of the snow that is piled up again. Lon took the golf clubs back out of the car!
