May began with a band concert for Annie and Chan.
Annie was recognized as if she was a senior. She has been a delight for Sarah and Tracy.

Annie flies home to Germany on June 11th. She will be missed by all.
The 5th, Lon had the early shift at the temple and I subbed on the mid shift so we took two cars so he could get home and get Cheryl's lawn mowed.
We have golfed 4 days a week all month, even in the rain a few times, except I missed a couple of days because of taking Mom to doctor appointments and the Lunch Bunch. On the 10th, Judy met up with Mom and I at Kneaders for lunch before Mom's eye appointment. It is always so fun to spend time with my little sister.
On the 6th, Sunday, after church we drove to Burley and had dinner at the Petersen's with the Gibbon's and the Lopez's. Jaimie, Gladys, Diego and Omar drove up that morning from Provo to spend time with us. Jaimie is the temple recorder for the El Salvador Temple and was our Stake President when we were serving there.

Jaime and Gladys Lopez It almost felt like a dream to be able to spend a few hours with friends from El Salvador. The Petersen's have their house up for sale now. Their children want them to move to Utah so that they can be closer to them to help as their health is declining.
On the 12th, we went to Hagerman for a dinner in honor of Dirk and Becky Clarkson's 40th wedding anniversary.

Lon has been busy getting outriggers put on his canoe so that there will be no more mishaps like last month.
He even installed our old stadium seats. He hasn't taken it out yet to try it out. It has been a windy, rainy month so fishing hasn't been good.
We drove to Boise on the 13th, Mother's Day. We spent the evening with Craig and Robbie's family. They had a BBQ in honor of Mother's Day. It was so fun to get reacquainted with Ryan, Scottie, and Kassie and their families. We hadn't seen them for quite a while. We spent the night with Craig and he and Lon went golfing Monday morning. We are planning a trip in June with them to go to Washington to visit Ken and Bonnie.
Lon went down to the Father/Son dinner at Niagra on the 18th. He came home and didn't spend the night as we both subbed on the mid shift on Saturday the 19th.
We attended an open house for Annie on the 26th and afterwards went to the reception for Keith and Angela Blonk. They were married in Argentina, where Angela is from. Keith is Brett's foster son. It was a great evening. Most of Kurt's family was there so we had a wonderful evening visiting with family and friends. Then on Monday we went to the Tiger Stop for dinner with Brett's family to celebrate Gavin's graduation from high school. It was a busy Memorial weekend.
And again another month has come and gone. The time just marches on!
May 28th-----We received an email from the Senior Couples Missionary department and the first opportunity to serve was in the Barranquilla Temple which will open in December. It was marked in red as urgent need. We have been dreaming of helping to open this temple since it was announced in 2011. We looked at each other and knew that this is what we are supposed to do NOW. We met with Bishop Stoker on Tuesday the 29th and have several doctor appointments already scheduled. It feels like our last missions with everything just falling into place. We are praying for just the right time to tell our families and friends. There will be a few who will not be happy!
